Mini-Split Installation

Ductless Mini-Split Installation in Scottsdale & Phoenix.

Garages, casitas, additions, and the one room your AC never reaches.

A ductless mini-split cools and heats one space on its own, with no ductwork. We will tell you straight whether a mini-split is the right fix, size it to the space, and never push you to buy more than you need.

Where a Mini-Split Makes Sense

Some spaces a central system was never going to handle in a Phoenix summer: a garage or workshop, a casita or guest house, a room addition, an Arizona room, or the west-facing bedroom that bakes every afternoon. Running new ductwork to them is expensive and often does not work well.

A mini-split puts an outdoor unit and one or more wall-mounted indoor heads exactly where you need them, connected by a small line set. Every mini-split is a heat pump, so the same system heats that space on cold nights.

If the whole house is struggling, a mini-split is probably not the fix, and we will say so. See Heat Pump Installation & Replacement →

How We Quote Your Mini-Split

Every mini-split quote is in person, on site, and in writing before any commitment. Your price depends on the number of zones, system capacity and efficiency, line-set length, where the indoor heads and outdoor unit can go, and any electrical work the space needs.

What we quote on site is what you pay. No surprise add-ons on install day.

our process

From Quote to Walkthrough

On-site quote and load calc.

We measure the space, check insulation, windows, and sun exposure, look at where the heads and outdoor unit can go, check the electrical panel, and give you a written quote before any commitment.

Placement and line set.

Indoor heads placed for even air across the room, the outdoor unit placed for airflow and service access, and a clean line-set route through the wall.

Equipment and electrical.

Indoor heads mounted, outdoor unit set, line set and condensate drain run, a dedicated circuit and disconnect installed where needed.

Verification.

Evacuated to spec, pressures checked, then run in cool and in heat with supply temperatures measured at each head.

Walkthrough.

How to use the remote or app, how to clean the filters, what your warranty covers, and what to call us for.

A single-zone install is usually done in a day. Multi-zone systems take longer depending on the number of heads and line-set runs, and we will give you a clear timeline in the quote. We clean up the site before we leave.

Single-Zone, Multi-Zone, or Central

We will recommend a setup based on the spaces you want to condition and how you use them.

Single-zone.

One outdoor unit, one indoor head, one space. The right fit for a garage, a casita, a single addition, or one problem room.

One outdoor unit feeding two or more indoor heads, each with its own setpoint. A fit for a multi-room addition or a guest house with separate rooms.

Sometimes the existing system has capacity to spare and a short duct run is cheaper. If that is the better buy for your house, that is what we will quote.

How We Size a Mini-Split

A garage or a west-facing addition in Phoenix can carry far more heat per square foot than the rest of the house. Sizing by square footage alone is how mini-splits end up running nonstop in August.

An oversized head short-cycles and leaves the room clammy. An undersized one never catches up on a 115° afternoon.

We size each zone by its actual load: square footage, ceiling height, insulation, windows, sun exposure, and how the space is used. A garage workshop and a guest bedroom of the same size need different equipment.

Mini-Split Installation FAQs

What is a ductless mini-split?

A heating and cooling system with an outdoor unit connected to one or more wall-mounted indoor heads by a small line set. No ductwork. Each head runs on its own setpoint.

Yes, when it is sized to the actual load of the space. Garages and west-facing rooms need more capacity than their square footage suggests, which is why we size each zone with a load calculation.

A properly sized mini-split is usually the best permanent answer. It runs on its own, without pushing garage air into your house system. Insulating the garage door makes a big difference too, and we will tell you if it is worth doing first.

Yes. Every mini-split is a heat pump, so it handles cold winter nights in that space on the same system.

A mini-split is quieter, far more efficient, and sized for the space. A window unit or portable AC is cheaper up front but struggles in a Phoenix summer, especially in a garage.

One per space you want to control on its own. A single room needs one; a multi-room addition might need two or three. We assess the spaces and recommend the configuration.

Sometimes. If the existing system has capacity to spare and a duct run is practical, extending it can be cheaper. We check during the quote and tell you which way makes sense.

A single-zone system is usually a one-day install. Multi-zone systems take longer depending on the number of heads and line-set runs.

Manufacturer parts coverage on registered equipment, plus our workmanship warranty on the install. We review your exact coverage in writing with the quote.
